The inimitable digital fashion house Auroboros has received another honor, this one from Forbes magazine. Co-founders Paula Sello and Alissa Aulbekova have been named to the 30 Under 30 list for Art & Culture in Europe in 2022.
Auroboros is described as the first fashion house to merge science and technology with physical couture, as well as digital-only ready-to-wear. The co-founders started off as artists at the Sarabande Foundation, which was founded by the late designer Lee Alexander McQueen. Since then they have leapt to the forefront of the rapidly-ascending digital fashion scene with projects that approach sublimity in form and function.
Just recently Auroboros was awarded with an Epic Games MegaGrant. Last year they exhibited their work at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. At London Fashion Week in 2021 Auroboros made history as the first digital fashion house to show at a major IRL fashion week. Add to those accolades $1.7M in funding and one can only wonder what heights they reach next.
