The Global Fashion Summit has a panel on the program schedule titled Metaverse Impact + Decentralized Futures. The focus of this panel discussion will be on blockchain technology and how it shapes sustainable initiatives in fashion. The Summit takes place from June 7-8, 2022 in Copenhagen.

Speakers on the panel include: Marjorie Hernandez, co-founder of DMAT/LUKSO; Leanne Elliott Young, co-founder of Institute of Digital Fashion; Evelyn Mora, founder of Digital Village; with moderation by Faith Robinson, co-founder of CogDis. Considering the metaverse as a focus, the event site states that understanding research on the environmental and sociocultural implications of this emerging realm is key.

Global Fashion Summit is the leading international forum for sustainability in fashion. The Summit is an evolution of Copenhagen Fashion Summit, which was first held in connection with the UN Climate Change Conference COP15 in 2009.
