Metaverse Fashion Council names members to advisory board

A burgeoning initiative with the name Metaverse Fashion Council has been referenced by sources on Twitter. Word is getting around that invitations are being sent and members are being named to an advisory board. Further information on the initiative can be found at the site.

The initiative is described as a DAO promoting community ownership of fashion in the metaverse. Sunil Arora, co-founder of Trace Network Labs, has been named an advisory board member. The designer Ilona Song also revealed she has been named to the advisory board. Also Chad Pickard, CEO and founder of fashion metazine Carbon, has said that he received an invitation to the board.

DAOs are an intriguing growth area for digital fashion. Perhaps the most active and well-known is Red DAO, an investment club of sorts that collects digital fashion pieces. Another DAO that was recently formed is Digital Fashion Design Fund (DFDF), which has the goal to support independent designers. Hibiscus DAO is building open source tooling for the fashion creator economy.
