The Fabricant CEO Profiled in Scandinavian MIND

Kerry Murphy, CEO of pioneering digital fashion house The Fabricant, has been given a feature profile in lifestyle and technology magazine Scandinavian MIND. Murphy is depicted on the cover of the magazine as his digital twin, with a look designed by Amber Jae Slooten, co-founder and creative director of The Fabricant. The profile dives into his vision for the future of his company and also digital fashion in general. As Murphy is fond of saying, digital fashion is an industry that “wastes nothing but data and exploits nothing but imagination.” This is one reason why he is so excited about the opportunities and possibilities of digital fashion

Identity is one of the key themes Murphy discusses in the interview. He also says that digital fashion will be much larger than physical fashion, if only because of the scalability factor. The Fabricant recently launched their Studio for co-creation, allowing anyone to become a digital fashion designer. They are currently in the midst of a major company re-set that should result in something like The Fabricant 2.0, combining the Studio with an Academy and other pillars in their dynamic ecosystem.
