The week ending Friday, September 9, 2022 was a busy one in digital fashion+luxury news. Digital sneakers are everywhere. Luxury loves gaming. Netflix is peeking behind the metaverse curtain. Vogue is staying active. And RTFKT grabs more headlines. Jump in! 🕳

Auroboros was the focus of an episode of the Netflix show The Future Of. Few houses get as much press as this pioneering digital fashion brand. We are excited to see what they do next! [Instagram]

PUMA launches a web-based experience called Black Station as part of their Futrograde show at New York Fashion Week. Holders of the PUMA Nitropass can mint NFTs and claim physical sneakers by visiting the site. [NFT Gators]

Fendi creates an augmented reality project to highlight one of their sneakers. The project is a collaboration with Meta using their Spark AR technology. Users can immerse themselves in a gamified experience in order to locate the sneakers as if they are hidden treasures. [Jing Daily]

Snap is launching wearables for its Bitmoji avatars. The first drop is the limited edition digital Air Jordan 2 Balvin sneakers. The larger play for Snap is to build a Bitmoji digital fashion store. [Social Media Today]

SuperRare is organizing the exhibition "Cryptoart Couture" in the SuperRare Gallery during New York Fashion Week. The exhibition is in partnership with Gucci Vault. Participating artists and designers include Niall Ashley, Antoni Tudisco, SamJ and more. [Twitter]

Somnium Space produced a mixed reality fashion show. The hybrid event took place in VR on their platform and also in the city of Prague. It was billed as "the world's first mixed reality fashion show" because, well, everyone wants to be first at something! [Twitter]

Bulgari launches a metaverse experience on the popular Asian platform Zepeto. Users have to complete a special quest for the chance to dress their avatars in Bulgari wearables. Lisa from the supergroup Blackpink inaugurated the hybrid experience, which was mirrored with a physical pop-up store in South Korea. [Input]

Vogue Singapore launches Vogue's New World, an immersive dreamscape for fashion and luxury. The experience was created in partnership with Spatial and Polycount. [Twitter]
